Why this wine

Palmer & Co only makes this cuvée in a vintage it rates highly, and every grape comes from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. Six to eight years on the lees is far longer than most vintage Champagne gets before release, which is where the creamy texture comes from. At this price that is unusual value for a wine already showing maturity.
