Why this wine
Arana is the leaner, more restrained of the house's Gran Reservas, and the better introduction to the style for that reason. Where 904 is expansive, this is tighter and more mineral, with the oak held further back. Gran Reserva quality at a price that makes it a wine to open rather than to store.
