Why this wine

Epokale is unlike anything else in Italian white wine: 2,100 bottles of late-harvested Gewürztraminer, aged for almost six years four kilometres inside a disused mine at over 2,000 metres. Sweet, spiced and saline rather than cloying, and a bottle with a long life still ahead of it.
