Why this wine
Only declared in years Pol Roger consider worth it, and 2018 was a warm, generous vintage. Richer and more structured than the non-vintage, with a decade or more ahead of it. The step up that actually tastes like a step up.

How it tastes
Pastry, patisserie and dried nuts balanced against mineral and exotic pineapple notes — round and elegant with a slightly zesty lift. Pinot Noir 60%, Chardonnay 40%.

Pol Roger declare a vintage only in years that merit it. One of the last family-owned houses of any size, and among the last to riddle by hand.
Food and drinking
Good with seafood, rich & creamy dishes and poultry & pork. Drinking well now, with a decade or more ahead of it. Serve at 8°C.
