Why this wine

A single 30-hectare block at 450 metres in High Eden, one of the Eden Valley's cooler corners, which is why a 14.5% Shiraz blend still shows white pepper and mint rather than jam. Twelve months across new and used French and American oak, with only the best barrels selected for the final blend. Eight years on from the vintage it is drinking at its point rather than asking to be kept.
