Why this wine

Late bottled vintage is the most practical way into serious Port: the fruit and structure of a single good year, ready to drink without a decade in the cellar. Barros has been trading for over a century and its reputation rests on cask ageing, which shows here in the balance between sweetness and firm tannin. 2019 was the fourth consecutive good vintage in the Douro.
