Why this wine

Cru Artisan is a small Médoc classification reserved for growers who farm, make and bottle their own wine, and this is a clear example of what it can deliver at a fair price. Raised in vat rather than barrel and bottled without fining, the wine shows left-bank cassis and graphite rather than a winemaker's stamp. Fifth-generation ownership and HVE Level 3 farming back it up.
