Why this wine

A single hectare in Meursault, two hundred metres from Puligny-Montrachet, bottled under the humbler Bourgogne Côte d'Or appellation. Ten months in 350-litre barrels gives it the weight and lees texture of a village wine. From a fifth-generation grower who works his plots one climat at a time.
