Why this wine

Italian Pinot Noir usually disappoints; the altitude and cool nights of the Dolomite foothills are one of the few places it works. Biodynamically farmed, spontaneously fermented and barely filtered, it is light-framed and savoury rather than sweet. Closer to Burgundy than to anything else Italy grows.
