Why this wine
Single-vineyard Shiraz from the Florita site at Watervale, where thin loam over limestone and a wide day-to-night swing keep the fruit elegant rather than jammy. Whole-bunch co-fermentation on a third of the crop adds aromatic lift, and 12 months in French oak rounds the tannins without burying the fruit. It shows what the Clare Valley does with Shiraz, not just Riesling.
