Why this wine

Aloxe-Corton sits on the hinge between the Cote de Nuits and the Cote de Beaune, and its reds carry something of both: red-berry lift over a firmer frame. Three parcels blended from vines averaging 36 years, made by Franck Grux, one of the most consistent hands in the Cote d'Or. A good way into the Corton hill without going to grand cru.
