Why this wine

Les Cailloux is one of the appellation's long-standing names, built from six plots across gravel, clay and limestone rather than a single site. The house style is concentration without heaviness: extraction kept short, most of the wine raised in concrete, and only the Syrah in barrique. A traditional Châteauneuf for anyone who wants savour rather than sweetness.
