Why this wine

Condrieu is one of the smallest appellations in France, and Viognier grown anywhere else rarely matches it. Louis Barruol ferments and ages his in old Burgundy casks, which builds texture without burying the flowers and stone fruit. A serious white from a house better known for its reds.
