Why this wine
A Côte Rôtie idea rebuilt at 1,470 metres in Gualtallary, where Syrah and Viognier are picked and fermented together. It gives the Argentine range a savoury, peppery red that is not another Malbec, with the polish Alejandro Vigil brings to everything he makes.
Who made this
El EnemigoUco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina
The high-altitude side project of Catena Zapata's chief winemaker, made to rival Bordeaux rather than imitate Malbec.
