Why this wine

Sauvignon Gris is the quieter, rounder cousin of Sauvignon Blanc, and at 80% of the blend it gives this wine weight that a standard Bordeaux Blanc never has. Fermentation in new oak and ten months on fine lees with bâtonnage build the texture, while the acidity keeps it from turning heavy. The 2023 is the first certified organic vintage from the estate.
