Why this wine
Cru Beaujolais from a grower who has spent four decades on Gamay and helped write the rules for the appellation, made without oak so the granite and the fruit do the talking. Brouilly's southerly slopes give it more flesh than the leaner crus, which makes it the easiest of the ten to pour for a table of mixed drinkers. Serious wine that still goes down like an everyday bottle.
