Why this wine

Saint Clair bottle their Pioneer Blocks separately rather than blending Marlborough into one wine, and Block 14 is the Doctor's Creek site on clay southwest of Blenheim. Whole clusters and a quarter new oak give it spice and grip without weight. At 12% it stays light on its feet.
