Why this wine

Most Sancerre never sees a barrel. This one is fermented and matured twelve months in large used oak from one flint-strewn plot at Vinon, which gives it a golden colour and a breadth the appellation rarely shows. A good bottle for anyone who thinks they already know what Sancerre tastes like.
