Why this wine

Santenay sits at the quiet southern end of the Cote de Beaune and rarely draws the attention its neighbours get. This is a single 0.3-hectare plot, farmed organically without certification, aged entirely in barrel and bottled unfined and unfiltered. A properly made village Burgundy from a family that has spent decades restoring forgotten vineyards.
