Why this wine
No malolactic conversion and only a fifth new oak, so the barrel adds texture rather than butter and the wine stays taut and citrus-driven at 13% alcohol. The reduced 2024 yields concentrated the fruit, while nine months in 500-litre puncheons gives width without weight. It is the range's case for Yarra Valley Chardonnay as a restrained style.
