Why this wine

Pietracalda is Feudi's single-vineyard Fiano, grown between 400 and 600 metres on clay and limestone in Irpinia, and the Riserva bottling gets a full year on its lees. Fiano is one of the few Italian whites that genuinely rewards keeping, and this is the bottle to test that on.
