Why this wine
Seventh-generation Fleurie off a south-east slope at 425 metres, where the topsoil runs to a few centimetres over granite and the vines work for everything they get. Fermented with yeast taken from the estate's own vineyard and raised in concrete rather than oak, so nothing sits between the fruit and the glass. Cru Beaujolais with perfume and grip, at a price that makes it a weeknight bottle.
