Why this wine
This is Riesling from the vineyard where the grape's German story effectively begins — planted to Riesling alone since 1720, and the site where Spätlese was discovered. Feinherb is the style most German drinkers keep for themselves: a touch of sugar for weight, high acidity to keep it taut, and the result handles spice and richness that a bone-dry white would fight. Yellow Seal is the estate's classic bottling, which makes it the sensible way into a famous address.
