Why this wine

Saint-Véran borders Pouilly-Fuissé and shares much of its limestone, and Plaisance comes from plots at the foot of the appellation's best slopes. Steel only, so the site and the vintage speak rather than the barrel. Proof that the south of Burgundy can make precise Chardonnay.
