Why this wine
Groot Constantia has been making wine since 1685, and the cool, Atlantic-brushed slopes below Table Mountain suit Sauvignon Blanc better than almost anywhere in the Cape. Fermented cool in stainless steel and left four months on the lees, so the aromatics stay sharp without the palate turning thin. Well priced for a wine with this much history behind it.
