Why this wine
Viognier is a rarity in Navarra, and Tandem ferment all of it in 300-litre French oak with four months of daily lees stirring, so it drinks closer to a white Burgundy than to the grape's usual perfumed style. A tenth of Viura keeps the acidity honest. Tim Atkin rates it 93, a striking score for a white at this level.
