Why this wine
White Châteauneuf is the appellation's quiet corner, and this is one of its long-standing examples, made here since the seventeenth century. Four southern varieties, part barrel-fermented and ten months on fine lees, give a white with real weight and a nutty, mineral core. It repays a proper glass and a plate of food.
