Why this wine

Cool-climate Pinot Noir with real texture rather than just fruit: ten days on skins and ten months in French oak, from new barrels through to eight-year-old ones. The grapes are hand-picked from 15- to 25-year-old MV6 and D5V12 vines on the site that was Victoria's first vineyard. It is the clearest introduction in the range to what the Yarra Valley does with the grape.
