Why this wine

Saint-Véran gives the shape of white Burgundy in a more approachable register, and Ferrand makes it without any oak so the fruit and the site carry the wine. Fifty-year-old vines on Jurassic clay and chalk, wild-yeast fermented in steel, bottled young to keep it fresh. An honest, unshowy white Burgundy.
